2. Scope and versions
This policy applies to TodayRate for Android, provided by Guilin Sanyu Technology Co., Ltd., package cn.tricosmos.todayrate, version 1.0.0 and applicable later versions, through Google Play and direct APK downloads. Both channels use the same rates, advertising and local storage features. iOS has a separate privacy policy.
The app requires no registration or sign-in and provides no accounts, transactions, loans, investment or payment services. This Android version has no in-app purchases or Google Play Billing.
3. On-device data
Base and target currencies and ordering, favorites, recent currencies, language preferences, and retrieved rate and history data are stored in the app sandbox. Amounts and conversions are calculated locally, not sent with rate requests or kept as an amount history.
Advertising consent and the last app-open ad time are also stored locally to respect choices and control frequency. We have no backend receiving these preferences or caches and no separate behavioral analytics SDK.
4. Exchange-rate requests
The app requests currency catalogs, latest daily reference rates, historical dates and ranges directly from Frankfurter (https://frankfurter.dev/) over HTTPS. Requests include base and target currencies and dates or ranges. The service and its network infrastructure receive IP addresses and standard connection information.
Requests do not include conversion amounts, full favorites, recent usage, names or account details. Third parties handle network logs under their own rules; we cannot promise their retention periods. Cached results work offline; other content needs internet access.
5. Google AdMob and advertising privacy choices
The app uses Google LLC's Google Mobile Ads SDK (currently 25.5.0) for banner and app-open ads, and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP, currently 4.0.0) for applicable consent. Consent information updates at launch, with privacy messages where necessary. Advertising starts only when UMP permits ad requests.
For ad delivery, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention, Google's ad SDK collects and shares IP addresses (with inferred approximate location), app and ad interactions such as launches, clicks and video views, app/SDK performance and diagnostics, Android advertising IDs, app set IDs and applicable device/account identifiers. The app requests no precise location and does not actively send conversion amounts, full favorites or currency usage records to ad services.
UMP processes network and device request information, consent state and privacy-interface interactions. Google data is encrypted in transit with TLS. Where privacy options are required, Settings → Advertising Privacy Options reopens the choice interface. Refusing optional personalized-ad consent does not affect conversions, but does not stop all ads or necessary fraud prevention. Reset or delete ad IDs in Android advertising settings, which vary by version. Ad destinations apply their own policies.
6. Permissions and third-party websites
The app uses internet and network-state permissions. Google's ad SDK merged manifest also includes advertising ID and system advertising-service permissions. We do not request contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, call logs or precise location, or scan personal files.
Only when you open a bank link does the app access its official page through Android Custom Tabs or a browser. Banks, browsers and page services may process IP, browser information, visits, cookies and web storage. We do not read bank-page passwords, forms or transactions. Manage web data through browser settings.
8. Retention, deletion and security
Local preferences remain until changed, app storage is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Rates and history caches are updated and evicted by capacity, not retained as transaction records. Cloud backup is disabled; system-controlled migration copies and browser records must be managed separately.
Clear app data in Android Settings → Apps → TodayRate → Storage. No account needs closure. Clearing local data does not delete information lawfully retained by Google or others; contact their privacy channels for those requests.
We use system app sandboxes, HTTPS and necessary access restrictions to protect information. No measure guarantees absolute security. For a personal information security incident, we will respond, notify and report as required.
9. Contact, rights and support
For support emails, we process your email address, message and voluntary attachments only to handle the request, necessary verification and disputes. Do not send passwords, bank card details or unrelated information. We delete or anonymize information when the matter ends and no legal retention is required.
You may lawfully request access, correction, deletion, copies or explanations of information we hold, or withdraw consent. Contact contact@tricosmos.cn. We respond within 15 working days, verifying only proportionate information where needed. Withdrawal does not invalidate prior processing; we cannot read or change data stored only on your device.

10. Minors and policy updates
The app is for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. If a guardian finds that a child provided personal information without consent, contact the email above; we will verify and assist.
We update this page and its date when processing or services change. Significant changes are announced in release notes or app notices, with renewed consent where required. Continued use does not replace consent for new optional processing.
11. English privacy notice
Effective and updated: October 17, 2026. This notice applies to TodayRate for Android, package cn.tricosmos.todayrate, distributed through Google Play and direct APK download. No account or sign-in is required. This Android release has no in-app purchases or Play Billing. Amount conversion happens locally. Currency choices, favorites, ordering, recent selections, language, rate/history caches, consent status and ad-frequency timestamps are kept in the app sandbox. We do not run an app backend that receives these local records or use a separate behavioral analytics SDK.
Rate queries go directly over HTTPS to Frankfurter (https://frankfurter.dev/). The service receives currency codes, dates or ranges, IP address and normal connection data, but not your entered amount or complete preference history. Cached information can be used offline. Providers manage their own network logs and retention.
Google Mobile Ads SDK 25.5.0 supplies banner and app-open ads; Google UMP 4.0.0 manages applicable consent. Google automatically collects and shares IP-derived approximate location, app/ad interactions, performance and diagnostics, advertising ID, app set ID and applicable device/account identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. We do not request precise location or send conversion amounts or full favorites to advertising services. Data sent by Google Mobile Ads is encrypted in transit with TLS. Where required, UMP shows a consent message before ad requests are permitted. Settings provides advertising privacy options when required. Declining optional personalized-ad consent does not block currency conversion and may still allow limited advertising or necessary fraud prevention. Android settings can reset or delete the advertising ID. Google and Frankfurter may process information outside your country; their policies govern their own retention and rights channels.
Opening an official bank page uses Android Custom Tabs or a browser only on your action. The bank/browser may process IP address, browser details, cookies and visit data under its own policies. We cannot read bank credentials or transactions. The app requests networking and advertising-related permissions, not contacts, camera, microphone, messages, call logs or precise location.
Clear app storage in Android settings or uninstall to remove local app records. Caches are refreshed or evicted. Cloud backup is disabled, while some device-transfer behavior depends on the operating system. Browser data, transferred copies and provider-held data must be managed separately. There is no account to delete. Contact us to access, correct, delete or obtain an explanation of information we hold; we aim to respond within 15 working days. Support email content and voluntary attachments are used only to resolve requests and retained only as needed or legally required.
We do not sell personal information or publish local usage records. The app is intended for general adult audiences, not directed to children. Contact us about any child data concern. We use app sandboxing, HTTPS and access restrictions; absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Material changes will be announced through release notes or app notices, and new consent obtained where required. This policy does not replace legally required consent.
